ACTOR SAMUEL L JACKSON DOES PILATES THREE TIMES A WEEK

Actor Samuel L Jackson follows an intense workout routine to combat his 68 years. Jackson schedules Pilates, weight training and relaxation in to his busy acting schedule every week. "I do pilates three times a week, weight training and conditioning three times a week and acupuncture and massage twice a week," Jackson said.

The famous actor clearly wants to keep his body young as he approaches the big 7-0! Jackson recently also became a vegan and raved about how much better he feels with a healthy eating regime and exercise (see picture above) when he said: "I feel great. I have a lot more energy than I used to have. I sleep better. I like the way I look in my clothes better. I don't cramp as much. I exercise better. I think my circulation has gotten better."

After an intense workout Jackson likes to relax his body with alternative therapies. "I love acupuncture and cupping", he says. The age-defying actor explains that these alternative therapies help subside any aches and pains he feels after his full-on weekly exercise regime.

ACTRESS JENNA DEWAN TATUM LOVES TO HATE PILATES

Stunning actress, dancer, mother and wife to Channing Tatum Jenna Dewan has an incredibly toned body. Her secrets: lots of Pilates, dancing and muscle memory!

“Pilates is best for the abs because it really focuses on your core, and you learn how to strengthen yourself,” Jenna recently told PeopleStyle magazine. “It’s my least favourite ab workout because it’s hard and not fun to do, but it’s the one that works the best.”

A brand ambassador for an active wear company, Tatum credits her background as a dancer for providing her muscles with great muscle memory and for teaching her how important fitness is. Jenna also likes to get her exercise in whenever she can. "I do some spin classes. Sometimes I go on a hike. I’m really a ‘get it in when I can get it in’ kind of a workout girl, and I am blessed because I did dance for so many years so there is a lot of muscle memory — but I have to workout like everyone else!”

The 36-year-old actress has been a convert of Pilates for years, as she was spotted going to Pilates classes months before the birth of her child in May 2013. Jenna has been addicted to Pilates ever since starting this form of exercise over four years ago!
