CARRIE BICKMORE'S PILATES ABS





Famous tv and radio presenter Carrie Bickmore's toned abs are the talk of Women's Health magazine. The 36-year-old shows off her trim stomach on the cover this month, thanks to Pilates, running and a balanced eating plan! Carrie's body looks so fantastic that Women's Health magazine has had to deny rumours that Bickmore's stomach was photoshopped! 

The mother of two reveals that her fit body is due to working out between 3-5 times a week. 'I've found a Pilates studio...Some weeks I get five workouts in, some only three," Carrie said. 'But I'm quite relaxed about it and my weeks are pretty active no matter what I'm doing."

In addition to her Pilates classes Carrie walks, runs and has just started CrossFit. Carrie explains that exercise has greatly improved her mood. "I'm in a better mental state at the moment...Before, it didn't take me much to get into a tizz, and to stop seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Now, I'm able to compartmentalise the stresses that arise."

JENNIFER HAWKINS WORKS UP A SWEAT ON THE REFORMER




Jennifer Hawkins won her Miss Universe title over a decade ago, however the model still follows a rigorous workout routine. The 33-year-old recently posted a boomerang video of herself workout out on the Pilates reformer, captioned 'Weekend workout!'. 

The business woman is a massive fan of Pilates and raves about how it has improved her body. "Pilates is great because I can target the areas of my body that I want to work on....I use the cadillac, that's a special piece of Pilates equipment, also known as a trapeze table - plus another machine called a reformer, and I do mat work." 

Hawkins knows that mixing up her workouts is the key, as she is dedicated to other fitness routines besides her equipment and floor Pilates. "On average I do cardio five times a week, either walking or running, and I love Pilates so I do that twice a week, too".

PIPPA MIDDLETON'S PRE WEDDING WORKOUT : PILATES!






Pippa Middleton married her fiancee James Matthews on May 21st, looking absolutely stunning in a lace dress. Middleton said that her pre wedding fitness regime included lots of Pilates!
Pippa was spotting leaving a Reformer Pilates studio on several occasions, after participating in their 75 minute workouts! The fitness junkie is also often seen walking and running around London as well as competing in triathlons, marathons and ski races. Middleton is a firm believer that everyone should make time for exercise. "Exercise can easily be incorporated into your life; all it requires is a change of mentality," she has said. 

It's no wondering that Middleton is a big fan of Pilates, as she has spoken often about the importance of "engaging the abs," "using the arms" and "building the glutes." She details all of this in her very own fitness guide! Pippa encourages her fans and readers of her guide to be realistic with their exercise goals. "Getting fit doesn't have to mean battling away at the gym each day -- your personal goals need to work with you and your lifestyle," Pippa says.

AUSTRALIAN MODEL SAMANTHA HARRIS DITCHES THE GYM FOR REFORMER PILATES






Australian model Samantha Harris has tried lots of different exercise regimes over the years but says that reformer Pilates has made her body the leanest its ever been!

Harris admits that she gets sick of exercise easily; "If I do the same thing I get really bored and I don't want to do it. I started reformer Pilates and it's so good! You exercise lying down - it's my favourite thing to do. It does your entire body. [I find] to go to the gym and do weights - obviously it depends on your body type - but you can get a bit muscly. But with Pilates, it just lengthens your muscles, so you're still toned but you're long and lean." 

In addition to Pilates Harris attends boot camps that involve circuit training as well as running outside and the occasional spin class when she gets a chance. Pilates seems to be the constant in her exercise routine! The famous model is dedicated to staying fit and healthy and works out five times a week. 

Unfortunately Pilates won't do it all for you and Samantha knows that. She sticks to a healthy and wholesome eating plan most days of the week but subscribes to the mentality that everything in moderation is best for you. Harris is a big fan of burgers! On a healthy day the 26-year-old has a smoothie for breakfast, a piece of fruit or nuts for a snack, meat and green vegetables for lunch, another piece of fruit or a boiled egg for a snack and meat and vegetables for dinner. Harris jokes that her meals are 'not that exciting!' and that 'my smoothie is the favourite part of my day!'

KATE HUDSON ISN'T SHY ABOUT HER LOVE OF PILATES







37-year-old actress Kate Hudson cannot get enough of Pilates. When she's not raving about the exercise regime she has been dedicated to since she was 19, she's posting videos of her Pilates' classes on social media or posing for magazines with a Pilates theme shoot. 

Devoted to Pilates for the past 18 years, Hudson has worked hard on her flexibility, strength and agility. As a result she has an incredibly toned body and can perform some very advanced Pilates exercises (see above!). The mother-of-two also likes to attend dance and exercise classes as well as workout outdoors but at the end of the day her love and heart is with Pilates. 

"Nothing, literally nothing, makes me feel like I'm back to my body more than pilates," she confessed. "I'll travel, and I’ll go for a run or I'll Spin. But when I go home and get on the reformer or the Cadillac, my body immediately goes back. I can see an instant shift."
The slender star works very hard for her body and says that she forces herself to get in any incident exercise that she possibly can. "I'm one of those people who, it'll be early in the morning and I'll be in a robe getting my hair done, and I'll use my Hot5 app (a fitness app) -- and do push-ups for five minutes!" Hudson reveals.
Kate knows that to maintain her toned body she needs to eat very healthily. She eats five small meals a day, eating mainly unprocessed and plant-based foods. Hudson has a post-workout protein shake after breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a late-afternoon snack before dinner. Kate reveals that she used to never eat breakfast but started to when she realised how vital it was to her health. "The hardest thing for me is eating right when I get up, because I don't like to. I'm not one of those people who wakes up hungry," she explains. "I wake up and I want coffee and even a green juice, but everybody says you've got to eat something, even if it's little. So that's sort of the hardest, but I realise that when I do, I eat less during the day or late at night." 
Saying all thisHudson is a fan of treating herself and thinks that life needs to include some indulgence. "If I want to go out and eat at a restaurant with amazing food, I'll do that, like, once a week, where I’m not thinking about it," she says. "I want to indulge! I want to do things that are not necessarily healthy sometimes."

ACTRESS KATE RICHIE CREDITS HER SLIMMER LOOK TO PILATES






Beautiful Australian actress Kate Richie seems to look fitter and happier every single year! The 38-year-old looked gorgeous at all her red carpet events, photos shoots and sightings in the past year. Richie credits her slimmer look each year to Pilates and a healthy lifestyle. 


In May 2016 the actress talked openly about her body and mind transformation. Kate has been very conscious of her eating for the past several years and has improved her eating habits each year. 'I'm not one of these girls that can eat chocolate bars and not notice... I have to be aware of what I fuel my body with.' she said. 'I eat healthily during the week and save treats for the weekend...[but] I have to be careful with portion sizes'. Kate eats a lot of fish, meat and tries to cook at home as much as she can. 

The biggest attribution to her transformation has been regular Pilates. Kate found Pilates several years ago and has been dedicated to it every since, due to the results she continues to see from this form of exercise. 'I do a lot of Pilates and I think that’s what has led to the most noticeable change in my body', the slim star says. '...I like to focus on my core strength'. Besides Pilates, the mother-of-one likes to do incidental exercise; 'I do also have a gym membership but I’m not a regular gym go-er,' she continued, adding she also goes on regular walks around the park with her daughter. Richie also has a PT who incorporates core strength exercises into her program.

ACTRESS EMMA WATSON DOES PILATES to GET READY FOR BEAUTY & THE BEAST MOVIE




Actress Emma Watson looks incredibly beautiful and in the best shape of her life in the much anticipated Beauty and the Beast movie trailers. This movie may just be Watson's most successful film to date, as the trailer has the most views of any movie in the history of the internet! The young star credits her slim physique to five workouts a week, including cardio and her favourite form of exercise, Pilates.

No matter how crazy her schedule gets, Emma always saves time for her exercise. Watson does a lot of sprint running, dancing and Pilates classes to keep her body fit and her mind healthy. Emma can also be found playing tennis or attending a yoga class. She also tries to fit in weight lifting three times a week and loves to rock climb when she gets the chance. Whilst the trim star does mix up her cardio workouts often to keep herself interested, the one constant of her exercise regime in Pilates. The former child-star says that she has had trouble in the past accepting her body.

The very smart actress refuses to follow Hollywood fad diets and instead happily eats what she wants. Watson says that she works out regularly and very intensely so that she can enjoy her cheat days and meals.

ACTRESS LIV TYLER DOES PILATES THROUGH THREE PREGNANCIES





Svelte actress Liv Tyler is a huge fan of Pilates, as she has been committed to this form of exercise since the birth of her first children in 2004. Fast forward 12 years and two more children and Tyler is still spotted racing to Pilates' classes in whatever town she is in. 

The lean actress admits that losing her pregnancy weight was very hard, due to developing gestational diabetes during her first pregnancy. Tyler had to change her whole eating plan, starting training with a personal trainer and take up Pilates. Working hard at this healthy and exercise overhaul, Liv started to see such great results that she still continues with Pilates today! 

The 39-year-old loves Pilates so much that her personal trainer incorporates core exercises into her training sessions, in addition to Liv going to Pilates classes regularly. The toned mum saids she enjoys Pilates not only because it keeps her trim and fit but also because it enhances her energy levels and improves her circulation. ACTRESS EMMA STONE GRACES VOGUE COVER with PILATES BODY





Actress Emma Stone looks stunning, slim and toned as the US November Vogue cover. The 28 year-old is not a big fan of exercise as she says; 'I hate lifting things (weights) over my head as it puts me in a bad mood!' but has found a love of Pilates, as it is easy on her joints and makes Emma feel strong. 

The glamorous actress is trained by famous Pilates instructor Mari Winsor, who trains her at her studio but has also taught Emma how to incorporate Pilates into her everyday fitness routine. Emma likes to do a morning Pilates session whenever she can. Winsor explains that this is how Stone has achieved such a lean figure. Emma revealed in a recent interview that 'I will only do workouts that I enjoy' and has been doing Pilates regularly for several years, which tells you something!


The beautiful actress is a huge fan of Pilates as it puts no pressure on her joints. Stone admits that she doesn't like running, as it feels bad for her knees and that she detests lifting weights! When training for the Spiderman movies a few years back Emma discovered that whenever she lifted weights over her head she became very angry! Besides regular Pilates, Stone enjoys rock climbing and tries to go to an indoor rock climbing studio whenever she travels. 

Healthy eating also plays a major factor in Emma's enviable physique. Stone famously said a few years ago: 

'I would be crazy to sit here and tell you that I have never thought about it (weight loss). But, I never can beat myself up about it. I definitely am not restrictive. You are a human being, you live once and life is wonderful, so eat the damn red velvet cupcake.'

Whilst Emma loves her food, she eats very healthily and always fits her Pilates or rock climbing in her busy schedule.

MODERN FAMILY ACTRESS SOFIA VERGARA'S TONED PILATES BODY




Modern Family star Sofia Vergara showed off her incredible Pilates body at the recent Emmy awards (see top photo). The 44-year-old actress wowed spectators with her toned curves, which she covered with a figure-flattering Versace gown.

Vergara exercises several days a week doing Pilates workouts, spinning and strength-training. Sofia is a big fan of Pilates and is often snapped working out on a Reformer in her house and at Pilates studios around town. 

The beautiful actress started eating very healthily and exercising after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2000. After undergoing surgery to remove her thyroid and radioactive therapy, Sofia was pronounced cancer-free in 2002. Vergara also has a family history of diabetes. As a result of her health issues, the actress follows a routine of healthy eating and lots of exercise. 

The trim star insists that her curves are 100% natural and that she does struggle with them at times. “My boobs are, like, huge,” said Sofia. “My whole life, buying a bra has been a nightmare...Believe me, I wish I had fake boobs. I lay down and they completely go down like all the way, like here. It’s not fun.” It's a little reassuring to know that everyone has little hang ups about their bodies sometimes!

SHANIA TWAIN IS AGELESS AT 51 THANKS TO PILATES and a VEGETARIAN DIET






When I think of Shania Twain, I think of two things: amazing voice and amazing body! The 51-year-old looks the exact same, if not better, then when she first burst out on the music scene several decades ago! Shania credits regular Pilates workouts and a vegetarian diet to her age-defying body. 

Besides regular Pilates, the country singer also does yoga, horseback riding, dancing and likes walking. Shania likes to be active outdoors whenever she can. I'm not crazy about the gym. I love walking". 

In addition to her love of  Pilates and walking, Shania has been a vegetarian since 1993. She claims that cutting out all meat, fish and eggs since 1993 has provided her with increased energy and stamina. When asked what her beauty secrets are the trim singer simply replies: "Fitness and good eating. I eat a lot of salads and stay away from sugars." Unfortunately there is no quick fix to becoming and maintaining your fitness and weight! Just good old fashioned exercise (Pilates preferably!) and wholesome, healthy foods.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK ACTRESS PIPER (TAYLOR SCHILLING) LOVES PILATES








Orange is the New Black actress Taylor Schilling, or better known as Piper Chapman in the popular Netflix drama, rocks a very toned figure in the TV series, even though her prison wardrobe includes a very unflattering jumpsuit! Taylor's lean figure is due to Pilates, yoga and chicken, brown rice and veggies apparently! 

Clearly, if you look good in prison with minimal makeup and baggy clothes you are doing something right! Schilling describes her fitness regime as 'moderate and simple'. The 32-year-old is not a fan of juice detoxes or cleanses and instead chooses to do workouts that she loves, which include Pilates, yoga, dance and gym workouts. Taylor reveals that she especially loves working on the Pilates reformer which she finds: "really fun. The trim star also follows a very simple eating plan. Schilling  tries to eat food that makes her feel energised and not depleted, therefore wholesome, healthy food is in abundance and artificial sugar is avoided. Taylor says that over the years she has "trained herself to stay away from sugar". The star is known for eating very simple meals whilst on set of her hit tv show, which often include some type of protein such as chicken or fish, brown rice and vegetables. 

The 'Orange' star sums up her fitness philosophy as one of enjoyment. "I try to come at fitness and nutrition from a perspective of gentleness and what will make me feel good afterwards. I try to stay out of the mindset of needing to fix myself. I do whatever seems fun to me. So it’s a philosophy of healthy enjoyment, but not fixing yourself." We totally agree!

JESINTA CAMPBELL DOES PILATES FIVE TIMES A WEEK





No refined sugars, zero alcohol and pilates FIVE TIMES a week: A 'nervous' Jesinta Campbell reveals her strict diet and fitness regimen ahead of the David Jones runway show 



Australian model Jesinta Campbell did not disappoint in the recent David Jones Spring/Summer runway show. The toned model upped her health & fitness regime to get ready for the catwalk, including doing five sessions of Pilates a week! 

Campbell says that she has been a longtime fan of Pilates and has always had it as a part of her workout regime. The decision to up her Pilates classes to five times a week has certainly paid off, as Jesinta looks more toned than ever! Campbell first increased her Pilates and cardio workouts in 2015 a few months out of the David Jones show and saw such amazing results, particularly to her stomach, that she decided to repeat this gruelling but rewarding regime. The fit model mainly does equipment based Pilates, on the Reformer and Cadillac in a boutique studio in NSW. 

It's not all about the exercise though! To achieve her washboard stomach Campbell also gave up alcohol nine weeks out of the show and has been eating incredibly healthily. Jesinta says that she is on a roll with feeling healthy and fit. "Once you get into it your body is so used to being clean and healthy if you try to get back into eating bad foods or putting bad things in to your body your body doesn't like it - and doesn't react well...Consistency is paramount when it comes to health and fitness, you can't decide to be healthy three days a week, eat badly four days of the week and not exercise."
