EVA LONGORIA SAYS PILATES IS HELPING HER STAY SLIM AT 40




Actress Eva Longoria turned the big 4-0 last week and whilst she doesn't look anywhere near that age, she says that staying in shape is becoming harder every birthday. 

“Staying in shape does not come easily, especially as you get older and you don’t have as much time or energy to exercise,” Eva told Glam Belleza Latina magazine. Longoria is famous for her super toned body and works hard to maintain it. She has recently discovered reformer Pilates, which she loves. "My nutritionist friend Claudia Zapata recommended it, and now I’m addicted," Eva gushes. 

Besides Pilates, Longoria likes to run whenever she travels. "I try to run every time I’m in a new city or country—you just put your shoes on and go. It’s very therapeutic, and it also works for me when I want to lose weight."

As for her diet, the trim actress eats junk food in moderation and says that her secret is cutting out sugar. "..sometimes I won’t eat sugar for three months. I’ll cut out all sugar and simple carbs that turn into sugar—rice, pasta, bread." The Latino beauty says she is lucky that she loves healthy foods. "I actually love fish and vegetables. I was raised on vegetables! Anything green—spinach, broccoli, brussels sprouts—I crave."
